Job summary

ZP Better Together, LLC in New York seeks a part-time American Sign Language Interpreter to provide high-quality video relay and on-site interpreting in a fast-paced call center and at client locations. Strong ASL and spoken English, plus knowledge of NAD-RID Code, are required.

You will attend a 40-hour New Hire Training, pass an interpreting skills assessment, and be able to travel to assignments. This role offers PT benefits and requires 24 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Fluent American Sign Language and spoken English are required.
• 3–5 years interpreting experience preferred.
• Able to pass interpreting skills assessment.
• Must attend and complete a 40-hour New Hire Training.
• State licensure or state-required credentials if applicable.
• You must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company’s mission and values.
• Provide excellent customer service with professionalism.
• Maintain punctuality and preparedness for shifts; ensure accurate record keeping.
