Job summary

Hirepros.pro, on behalf of an international banking institution in the Financial District of New York, is seeking a part-time ASL interpreter to support both on-site and virtual events. Commitment of 2 to 4 hours per month, with participation in training sessions and related activities.

Requirements include 2 years of full-time ASL interpreting experience, RID or NAD certification, knowledge of SEE and PSE, and strong communication in ASL, TDD, and written form.

Qualifications

• 2 years of full-time paid experience as an ASL interpreter.
• Certification as an ASL interpreter by RID or NAD.
• Knowledge of SEE (signing exact English) and PSE (pidgin sign English).
• Ability to communicate effectively in ASL, TDD, and written form.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpreting of conversations between banking institution employees during day-to-day interactions and during meetings and one-on-ones.
• Interpret for meetings and training sessions; support both in-person and virtual events.
• Sign and abide by client data privacy and confidentiality requirements.
• Handle other administrative duties as assigned.
