Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of directly related professional experience.
• Associate degree and six years of directly related professional experience.
• A valid California Community College Credential.
• The equivalent education and/or experience (requires an equivalency).

Responsibilities

• Teaching ASL courses on campus and/or off-site locations.
• Utilizing diverse pedagogies and technology for face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
• Communicating effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Using appropriate teaching methods and approved curriculum outlines.
• Assessing student progress via tests, assignments and exams.
• Providing course syllabi and maintaining classroom records.
• Submitting grades and evaluation reports in a timely manner.
• Handling varied teaching assignments and schedules.
• Fulfilling duties as required by Administrative Regulation 7122.
• Carrying out other duties as assigned.
