Job summary

Vance Thompson Vision is expanding with a new ambulatory surgery center and seeks a Part Time Registered Nurse to join the team in January 2027, ahead of the February 2027 center opening. You will manage patient histories, pre-op assessments, and coordinate perioperative care with surgeons, anesthesia, and circulating staff.

• Completed an accredited RN program.

• Hospital or surgery center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and perform physical assessment.
• Educate patient per plan including procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and notify physician of changes.
• Ensure patient safety and manage critical situations.
• Prepare patient for surgery and obtain informed consent.
• Coordinate with perioperative team for safe procedure.
• Assist in recovery and evaluate post-anesthesia recovery.
• Explain post-operative care requirements.
• Collaborate with perioperative staff and surgeon.
