Job summary

Vance Thompson Vision in Billings, MT is seeking an Ambulatory Surgery Center Registered Nurse to join the team. The nurse will obtain patient histories and perform physical assessments, educate patients, monitor vitals, and coordinate perioperative care with the surgical team.

Ideal candidates have completed an accredited RN program and hold a valid RN license in the state. Hospital or surgery center experience is preferred, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited RN program from a university or technical school.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Previous experience in a hospital and/or surgery center.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients by taking medical history and performing physical assessments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, care plans and post-op instructions.
• Monitor vital signs and patient conditions; report changes to physicians.
• Prepare patients for surgery, obtain informed consent, and assist with pre-op activities.
• Coordinate with circulating nurse, anesthesia provider, and surgeon for safe surgical care.
• Support patient safety in recovery from anesthesia and surgery and ensure post-operative care requirements are understood.
