Job summary

The Oklahoma Arts Council is seeking an Arts Education Coordinator to support arts education and community learning programs. This part-time, temporary role offers an hourly rate of $27. The position involves administrative and programmatic duties with approximately 15–20 hours per week.

The coordinator will assist with grants, work across departments, and help manage travel, scheduling, and communications. This role supports the agency’s mission to advance arts education throughout Oklahoma.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Strong organization, communication, and administrative support skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and online databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide programmatic and general administrative support to Arts Education staff.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide information on OAC arts education programs.
  • Coordinate travel, room bookings, catering, scheduling, and invoicing.
  • Process travel claims and routine purchase requests.
  • Travel occasionally for site visits and events within-state.
  • Assist with grants management and reporting tasks as assigned.
