Qualifications

• Master’s in fine arts, art, or art history.
• Bachelor’s in art-related field AND Master’s in humanities.
• A valid California Community College credential.
• The equivalent education and/or experience (requires an equivalency).

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to teaching art.
• Teach developmental and transfer art courses offered by the department.
• Use varied pedagogies and integrate technology for face‑to‑face, online, and hybrid formats.
• Communicate effectively with students.
• Use effective teaching methods and adhere to approved outlines.
• Evaluate student progress with tests, assignments, and exams.
• Provide course syllabi to students.
• Maintain classroom records per District Policy and timely grading reports.
• Fulfill duties of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122.
