Job summary

Reedley College invites applications for a part-time Computer Science Instructor in its college pool. The position supports instruction in CS topics, including programming and discrete mathematics, across varied settings and schedules.

The ideal candidate will engage with a racially and socioeconomically diverse student population, contribute to curriculum development, and meet minimum qualifications with appropriate credentials or equivalency.

Qualifications

Master’s in computer science or computer engineering is required.
Bachelor’s in either CS/CE and master’s in mathematics, cybernetics, business administration, accounting or engineering.
Bachelor’s in engineering and master’s in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration.
Bachelor’s in mathematics and master’s in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration.
Bachelor’s degree in any of the above and a master’s degree in information science, computer information systems or information systems.
A valid California Community College Credential.
Equivalency education/experience accepted.

Responsibilities

Provide instruction in Computer Science in various settings, including evening/weekend, online or off-campus.
Teach courses: programming concepts and methodology I (C++), programming concepts and methodology II, discrete math, computer organization/assembly, and others as assigned.
Communicate effectively and cooperatively with students, staff, campus and community organizations.
Maintain class records of student progress and attendance; fulfill duties per Administrative Regulation 7122.
