Qualifications

• Master’s in English or related field required.
• Bachelor’s in relevant field and Master’s in linguistics, TESL, speech, reading education, or journalism acceptable with equivalency.
• Valid California Community College Credential required.
• Equivalency accepted based on education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach a full range of integrated reading/writing and transfer-level English courses.
• Develop writing skills across levels with appropriate practices.
• Teach literature and critical thinking courses.
• Communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Maintain currency in the discipline and fulfill duties per Administrative Regulation 7122.
