Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Virginia Beach is hiring a part-time Framer to assist customers with custom framing solutions and to operate framing equipment and the cash register. You will maintain the frame department, stock shelves, and provide friendly service in a climate-controlled retail setting.

Responsibilities include completing framing orders on time, following SOPs, supporting safety programs, and helping with truck unloading and omni-channel processes.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Basic measuring skills required.
• Ability to operate framing equipment and glass cutter.
• Retail experience preferred; experience selling products/services.
• Customer service oriented with ability to help customers shop and find items.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers to deliver framing solutions.
• Help customers shop and locate products in a well-merchandised store.
• Complete framing orders accurately and on time.
• Maintain ready-made frame department and stock areas.
• Provide friendly customer service and uphold SOPs and safety standards.
• Assist with truck unloading and stocking; participate in Omni channel processes.
• Operate cash register and handle payments according to standards.
