Job summary

Georgia Gwinnett College invites applications for part-time faculty in Art within the School of Liberal Arts for the 2026–2027 academic year. Positions are semester-based and reported to the Department Chair.

Courses may be offered face-to-face, online, hybrid, or blended, and require additional student feedback and meetings outside class time. Availability for fall, spring, and/or summer semesters is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.
• Terminal degree in the teaching discipline.
• 1-year college-level teaching.
• Sustained professional engagement that demonstrates relevance and currency in the field of teaching.

Responsibilities

• Developing course curricula, including the syllabus, lesson plans, and graded assignments, in accordance with the requirements of the upper division program and in consultation with the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.
• Reviewing, evaluating and recommending student learning materials.
• Evaluating students to measure their progress in achieving institutional and course goals.
• Timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
