Job summary

DK Security in Michigan seeks an Armed Security Officer for a part-time, on-site role in Alpena. You will protect facilities, manage access, monitor CCTV, and patrol grounds to maintain safety and security for employees and visitors.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a Michigan CPL, and the ability to pass drug screening and background checks. Compensation is $20.00/hr with benefits for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must hold a valid Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL).
• Must pass a drug screening at hire and randomly thereafter (including for marijuana).
• May not have any felony convictions and must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Customer Relations - interact with clients, residents and visitors.
• Access Control - verify authorized individuals at entry/exit points.
• Camera Monitoring - observe CCTV for safety/compliance.
• Foot Patrol - inspect interior/exterior areas for security/safety issues.
• Mobile Patrol - patrol parking lots and remote locations in a security vehicle.
• Monitor Fire Alarms - ensure alarms function properly.
• Provide excellent customer service to visitors and staff.
• Observes and reports incidents at client locations.
• Guard posts at lobbies, gates, reception areas, or control centers.
• Check IDs of employees and vendors; monitor for suspicious activity.
• Respond to emergencies and stay in contact with clients and managers.
