Allied Universal, West Palm Beach, FL, is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide access control, customer service, and safety at a government location. The position offers fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment, plus a program to pick up additional shifts and increase earnings.

Ideal candidates have an armed guard license and 3+ years of security/military experience or a degree, with a valid Florida driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver's license in the job location.
• Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as conditions of employment.
• Industry-specific security training involvement.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and the public through site-specific access control and emergency response when needed.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify ID, issue passes, and maintain access records.
• Control access to restricted areas and report unauthorized access.
• Respond calmly to incidents following site protocols and notify responders.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
