Job summary

Allied Universal, West Palm Beach, FL, is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a part-time campus post. You will provide customer service to students, staff and visitors, perform armed patrols, respond to incidents, and maintain firearm equipment in compliance with laws and policies.

The role requires an armed guard card or license, a minimum two years in security or related field, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Possess a Certified Protection Officer certification.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policy, and site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Education
