Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Resource Campus in West Palm Beach, FL. You will patrol campus areas, deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors while meeting licensing and training requirements.

The role requires 2+ years of related experience, a valid armed guard card, and a current driver’s license. Excellent communication and integrity are essential in serving our community.

Qualifications

• Possess a Certified Protection Officer certification.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, corrections, military and/or degree in criminal justice.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policy, and site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
