Job summary

Silver Star Protection Group is seeking a Part-time Armed Security Guard to protect client sites in Independence, MO. The role operates Monday through Thursday from 2 PM to 10 PM, with shifts and locations subject to change based on client needs.

A valid armed license and firearm with a Level 2 retention holster are required, along with the ability to pass a drug test and potential cannabis agent ID. Candidates with prior armed security experience and strong de-escalation skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Armed License Required.
• Cannabis agent ID required or eligible.
• Must own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher.
• Pass a drug test (St. Louis area).
• Previous armed security or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services at the assigned client site(s).
• Work scheduled shifts; flexibility for other sites and hours as needed.
• Maintain professionalism with clients, visitors, and staff; promote a secure environment.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance per client protocols.
• Document incidents and report promptly to appropriate personnel.
• Additional duties as assigned by SSPG leadership.
