Job summary

Silver Star Protection Group is seeking a Full-time Armed Security Guard for a site in Kansas City, MO. The role requires an armed license, Cannabis agent ID eligibility, and the ability to pass a drug test.

You will protect personnel and assets, patrol sites, and report incidents with discretion and professionalism. The position offers shifts from 8:30am to 3:30pm or 3:30pm to 11pm and requires flexibility for client needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Armed License required.
• Cannabis agent ID eligibility.
• Must own a firearm with level 2 retention holster or higher.
• Pass a drug test (St. Louis area).
• Armed security or related experience preferred.
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring the safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets.
• Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed. Schedule and locations may change depending on client needs, staffing requirements, or other operational factors.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff. Ensure that all communication fosters a positive and secure environment.
• Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site and monitor surveillance equipment, ensuring adherence to the client’s security protocols.
• Accurately document any incidents, security breaches, or irregularities, and promptly report them to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.
• Additional duties as assigned by Silver Star leadership team.
