Job summary

Silver Star Protection Group seeks an Armed Security Guard for the Mt Prospect, IL area on a part-time schedule. The role involves patrolling client sites, monitoring cameras, and responding to incidents in accordance with client security protocols.

The position requires a valid firearms license, FOID, and active PERC; you must own a level 2 retention holster or higher and have prior armed security experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid firearms license or certification is required.
• Active PERC and FOID cards required.
• Must own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher.
• Previous armed security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide security at the client site(s), ensuring safety of personnel, premises, and assets.
• Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed; schedules may change based on client needs.
• Maintain professionalism with clients, visitors, and staff to foster a secure environment.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance; follow client security protocols.
• Document incidents or irregularities and report promptly for follow-up.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by SSPG leadership.
