Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Elite Security Officer (Part Time Driver) for Midland, TX. In this role, you will provide armed security, patrol retail locations, and deliver excellent customer service while upholding company values.

This driving position requires a valid driver’s license, Texas Level III Armed Certification, and compliance with background checks and drug screening. Shifts are scheduled as DayTime Tue and Wed, with pay at $25.00 per hour and a flexible part-time arrangement.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store team members while carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and the surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, suspicious behavior, or policy concerns; document and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Support a welcoming retail environment by providing directions, assisting with customer concerns, and maintaining a professional presence during business operations.
