Job summary

Allied Universal in Austin, TX is seeking a Part-Time Armed Security Guard to provide visible deterrence at a retail location, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and protect clients across varied industries. This role requires a valid Texas Level III Armed Certification and a current driver’s license, with a background check.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols at retail locations, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters.
• Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas, verify authorized personnel, vendors, and deliveries.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents and patrol activities with professional communication to leadership and site contacts.
