Job summary

Sinclair Community College seeks an Architecture and Construction Adjunct Faculty member for the Dayton campus. This part-time role involves teaching courses from the Architectural Technology program with hands-on and theoretical instruction.

The starting pay is $1,046 per credit hour assigned to teach. Applicants must reside in OH, IN, or KY or be able to work in one of these states. Official transcripts and background checks are required prior to hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction, or related field required; master’s degree preferred; or must meet Tested Experience requirements.
• Tested Experience: associate’s degree plus a recognized certification/license required.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and/or Microsoft Project preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections per policies.
• Use appropriate teaching strategies and instructional technology.
• Modify methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success.
• Evaluate and return student work promptly to promote learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Submit final grade rosters by deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Cannot teach more than 12 credit hours per semester.
