Discovery Life Sciences in Quincy, MA is seeking an Apheresis Registered Nurse to join the Donor Management team. You will deliver direct care to healthy donors undergoing blood and/or tissue collection in an outpatient setting.

The role requires MA RN license, an associate degree, and IV skills, with 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience. This part-time, on-site position offers a collaborative environment and competitive pay.

Qualifications

Massachusetts RN license required.
Associates degree or higher in Nursing.
Current BLS/CPR certification.
1–2 years clinical nursing experience.
Experience starting IVs is required.
Oncology, apheresis, blood bank, or infusion experience preferred but not required.
Strong computer skills with Word, Excel and Google Apps preferred.

Responsibilities

Initiate, perform, and complete donor collection procedures according to SOPs.
Follow process flow to fulfill and ship orders timely.
Document donor eligibility and qualifications.
Educate donors on collection process and program expectations.
Ensure donor safety and manage adverse events.
Act as a resource to other clinical team members.
Coordinate daily workflow with front desk staff and perform front desk duties as needed.
Provide lead RN coverage in the absence of the lead RN.
Lead continuous improvement of practices, processes and donor satisfaction.
Analyze diagnostic laboratory data.
