Gulf Coast Blood seeks a Registered Nurse, PRN, to perform leukapheresis procedures and provide nursing care for donors, patients, and trial participants. You will maintain equipment, document procedures, and communicate with physicians about donor and patient status.

Requires an accredited nursing degree, Texas RN license, ACLS/BLS, and 3+ years of direct patient care. Vascular access and peripheral IV proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited School of Professional Nursing with current RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent direct patient care nursing experience, preferably in an acute-care setting.
• Proficiency in vascular access devices (hemodialysis catheters) and care.
• Peripheral intravenous access proficiency required.
• Current unrestricted Texas RN license or compact license.
• ACLS or BLS certification.
• Prior RN experience in apheresis/dialysis is preferable but not required.

Responsabilités

• Oversees, evaluates, performs and documents leukapheresis procedures according to policy/procedure.
• Assists in development/review of new procedures for Medical Apheresis program and clinical trials.
• Performs general nursing duties, phlebotomy, IV and CVC care, meds administration, and mobilizing agent injections for PBSC donors.
