Job summary

WinnCompanies is searching for a Part-Time Maintenance Technician II for Curtis Cofield II Estates, a 56-unit affordable community in New Haven, CT. The role encompasses maintenance of rental units, common areas, offices, grounds and parking lots.

The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, totaling 20 hours per week. Pay ranges from $24.00 to $26.00 per hour, depending on experience, with part-time status not eligible for Winn benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
• Ability to speak and understand basic English.
• Availability for on-call activity during off hours for urgent needs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic HVAC.
• Complete service requests and repairs; prep vacant apartments for occupancy and market readiness.
• Perform maintenance service orders, preventive maintenance, safety/building inspections and annual unit inspections.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management.
• Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and need.
