Job summary

WinnCompanies in Waterbury, CT is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to maintain Enterprise/Abbott and Schoolhouse Apartments, two affordable and senior living communities totaling 400 units. You will perform maintenance across rental units, common areas, offices, grounds and parking areas.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a weekly on-call rotation every six weeks. Requirements include 1–3 years of relevant experience, knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances and

Qualifications

1–3 years of relevant maintenance experience.
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
Valid driver’s license in good standing.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic familiarity with computers/tablets.
On-call availability for urgent needs.
Ability to speak basic English.
Ability to work with a diverse group of people.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing and basic HVAC.
Complete assigned service requests and repairs per procedures.
Ensure vacant apartments are market-ready.
Perform maintenance service orders for preventive maintenance and safety/annual inspections.
Maintain grounds and curb appeal (snow removal, landscaping, trash).
Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies.
