Job summary

Rockworth Companies is seeking a Part-time Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our property management team in Saint George, UT. You will perform routine and preventive tasks, repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry issues, and respond promptly to resident requests to keep units safe and comfortable.

This part-time position requires physical stamina, ability to lift heavy items, and flexibility to work evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
• Experience as a maintenance technician in a residential setting is preferred.
• Proficiency with hand tools and basic maintenance equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and independent troubleshooting ability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents and teammates.
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders.
• Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance for apartments, common areas, and grounds to ensure safety and comfort.
• Identify and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry issues to code and safety standards.
• Respond to work orders and resident requests promptly and professionally.
• Inspect property grounds, buildings, and equipment and report findings to the property manager.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
• Maintain maintenance equipment and inventory of supplies.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors for larger repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
