Job summary

Middlesex Community College is seeking an Anthropology adjunct instructor to teach courses at the Bedford and Lowell campuses and online. The role is part-time, with a focus on inclusive excellence and continuous professional improvement.

The faculty member will deliver culturally informed instruction and student-centered pedagogy to support diverse learners. The position reports to the Dean of Liberal Arts, with duties including developing assessments, leveraging technology, and coordinating

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Anthropology or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to teach Cultural Anthropology.
• Commitment to the role of the community college.
• Experience with a variety of instructional methods.
• Ability to work collegially with faculty from different disciplines.
• Commitment to continuous professional improvement.

Responsibilities

• Teach one or more sections in Anthropology.
• Develop and use student-centered pedagogies that promote success for all students and lead to equitable course outcomes.
• Develop and use meaningful assessment strategies.
• Develop and apply instructional methods for diverse learners.
• Develop and apply technology in and out of the classroom.
• Use Blackboard Learning Management System to post syllabi, assignments, and grades.
• Fulfill terms of the faculty contract as set out in the applicable agreement.
