Job summary

Intermountain Health in Denver, CO is seeking an Angio/Interventionalist to perform angiography procedures, scrub, set techniques, and capture diagnostic images as part of our Imaging lab. You will support patient care and safety in a collaborative team environment.

The role emphasizes licensure/certifications, procedural assistance, radiation safety, and accurate documentation. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Active licensure and certifications required for the position.
• ARRT, BCLS, ACLS and PALS where applicable must be current.
• State licensure and/or certifications required for practice.
• VIR certification preferred where available.

Responsibilities

• Maintains up-to-date licensure and certifications required for position.
• Provides procedural assistance as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech, according to Angio lab policies and procedures.
• Understands and operates IR equipment to ensure quality images.
• Prepares the patient for the exam with proper identification and order verification.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Follows protocol for medical necessity, coding and charging guidelines, obtaining consents and reporting equipment issues.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort, addressing concerns.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures, and adverse events.
• Coordinates patient care and communicates information to other providers post-procedure.
• At end of procedure, suture sheath or remove and apply pressure for hemostasis.
