Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County is seeking an AmeriCorps STEM Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year. Location is Spring Creek Elementary in Provo, Utah. The role is part-time, with about 12-16 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 2:45-6 PM, through May 2027.

The AmeriCorps member will provide STEM education, maintain records, and evaluate youth progress using rubrics and surveys. A living allowance and education award are provided upon successful completion of the term, with specific stipends

Qualifications

• Experience in leading STEM activities or lessons.
• Ability to track youth progress and data.
• Strong communication with youth and families.
• Knowledge of youth development principles.
• CPR/First Aid may be required.
• Must meet CNCS program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead STEM lessons for 12-16 hours weekly.
• Maintain lesson plans and track number of students served.
• Complete weekly timesheets and a monthly report.
• Evaluate youth progress using surveys and rubrics.
• Build positive relationships with youth, families, staff, and teammates.
• Promote program participation and provide guidance and role modeling.
• Ensure safety and conduct during activities.
• Participate in staff meetings and grant trainings.
