Job summary

URBN Playground is a full-service amenity management, consulting, technology, and staffing firm headquartered in New York City. The Harbor View Amenity Manager focuses on the day-to-day operations of an over age 55 residential fitness center including fitness, pool operations, general facility cleanliness and resident interaction.

Twenty hours per week. Flexible, staffed hours 8 am-12 pm weekdays, 8am-12pm Saturday, 8am-2pm Sundays.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent related work experience.
• Experience building relationships and coaching team members.
• Ability to obtain Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer service with a hospitality-focused mindset.
• Perform operations and quality control per a facility checklist.
• Record pool and hot tub chemistry levels.
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members.
• Interact with residents on the exercise floor and aid fitness.
• Wipe down equipment and assist with light cleaning.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed by law.
• Be the face of URBN Playground for resident inquiries.
• Collaborate with property management, board, and committee members.

Part Time AMENITY MANAGER

The Harbor View Amenity Manager focuses on the day-to-day operations of an over age 55 residential fitness center including fitness, pool operations, general facility cleanliness and resident interaction. YOUR MISSION

• Deliver amazing customer service by having a hospitality-focused, customer-first mindset.
• Perform operational and quality control functions according to a detailed facility checklist.
• Take and record pool and hot tub chemistry levels.
• Provide ongoing coaching and proactive feedback to fellow team members.
• Interact with residents on the exercise floor and provide guided fitness assistance.
• Wipe down exercise equipment and perform light cleaning duties to supplement the on-site cleaning service.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to according to law.
• Your role is crucial not only in enhancing the lives of the residents within the property, but in improving the attractiveness and value of the property.
• Be the face of URBN Playground for all customer questions, concerns and needs.
• Interact positively with property management, board, and health club committee members.

YOU NEED

• Confidence interacting with people using high level professional polish
• Customer service savvy and proactive hospitality
• Sound judgement to make decisions independently
• Experience building relationships with and coaching team members to maintain smooth operations
• A college degree, or equivalent related work experience
• Several years work experience in amenity management or property management or hospitality industries, or similar
• Be able to obtain Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certification within three months of employment
• Prior experience in managing people and work schedules
• A great sense of humor and sense of fun!
