Job summary

Kids for the Future in New York is seeking an Assistant Amenity Manager to support the day-to-day operations of resident amenities, including fitness centers, lounges, pools, rooftops, and clubrooms. You will deliver warm, professional service and help maintain an exceptional resident experience.

You will coordinate events, manage reservations, and work with housekeeping, maintenance, security, and vendors.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Amenity Manager with day-to-day operations of all amenity areas, including fitness centers, lounges, pools, rooftops, clubrooms, business centers, and other resident spaces.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with residents and guests.
  • Monitor amenity areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, safety, and proper presentation.
  • Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing resident events, programs, and activities.
  • Support the management of amenity reservations, bookings, access, and usage policies.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident questions, requests, and concerns.
  • Conduct regular inspections and report maintenance, safety, or operational issues to the appropriate departments.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, security, vendors, and other property staff as needed.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of amenity supplies and equipment.
  • Help enforce property rules, policies, and amenity guidelines in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with vendor coordination and ensure contracted services meet property standards.
  • Support opening and closing procedures and ensure amenities are properly secured.
  • Maintain accurate records, schedules, incident reports, and other operational documentation.
  • Assist the Amenity Manager with training and supervising amenity staff when needed.
  • Provide coverage for the Amenity Manager during absences and assist with other property operations as assigned.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or GED required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, property management, or a related field is a plus.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in hospitality, customer service, residential property management, events, recreation, or a similar field.
Customer service: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle resident/guest requests professionally.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organization: Ability to manage schedules, reservations, events, vendors, supplies, and multiple tasks at once.
Leadership: Ability to supervise or coordinate staff and vendors when needed.
Problem-solving: Able to address resident concerns and operational issues quickly and professionally.
Technology: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, scheduling systems, and property-management software.
Availability: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, depending on the property.
Physical ability: Able to walk/stand for extended periods and occasionally lift or move supplies/equipment.
Professionalism: Well-presented, dependable, proactive, and comfortable working with residents, executives, vendors, and guests.

For a luxury residential building, employers may also prefer experience in luxury hospitality, concierge services, residential amenities, event planning, or high-end customer service.
