Job summary

Gunnison Consulting Group in Washington, DC seeks an experienced strategic SME & Advisory role focused on AI, Generative AI, and automation. You will identify and implement AI solutions to enhance cybersecurity, governance, and operational efficiency, while architecting multi-agent systems with memory, planning, and tool-use capabilities.

You will design production-grade agent workflows, integrate with APIs and enterprise systems, and build RAG pipelines to ground outputs in accurate data.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years experience in IT, cybersecurity, automation, analytics, or related fields
• Experience implementing AI, Generative AI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives
• Experience with prompt engineering, workflow automation, and AI-enabled productivity solutions
• Experience leading technology pilots, evaluations, or deployments
• Experience developing technical documentation, presentations, and stakeholder recommendations
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, CS, Information Assurance, Data Analytics, Business Technology, or related field
• One or more AI certifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as the organization's SME for AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and emerging automation technologies
• Identify, evaluate, and implement AI solutions that improve cybersecurity, governance, compliance, and operational efficiency
• Design multi-agent systems with reasoning, memory, planning, and tool-use capabilities
• Engineer production-grade agent workflows with monitoring, error recovery, and fallback paths
• Integrate agents with APIs, databases, enterprise systems, and cybersecurity/compliance tools
• Design and maintain RAG pipelines to ground outputs in accurate data and reduce hallucinations
• Design, test, and optimize prompts and structured reasoning frameworks
• Build and maintain reusable prompt libraries and evaluation processes
• Lead AI proof-of-concepts, pilots, and production deployments
• Convert manual processes into automated, AI-driven workflows
• Build agent memory/context systems to track state across tasks
• Apply AI to reduce cycle time and manual rework with measurable metrics
