Job summary

Agri Supply in Garner, NC is seeking a part-time Sales Associate for the Ag department to greet customers, advise on merchandise, and process sales. You will cut hoses, assist with stock, and help with shipping and checkout, ensuring friendly, efficient service.

Responsibilities include stocking, inventory management, and helping customers find products. This role offers tuition assistance and retirement plan options with employer contributions.

Qualifications

• Weekend availability is required.
• Some High School/HS Diploma/GED or 6 months to 1 year related experience or training.
• Strong communication skills to make customers feel welcome in-store.
• Ability to perform basic math and understand measurements.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and determine the make, type, and quality of merchandise desired.
• Cut hoses sold per square foot.
• Assist customers with merchandise and provide directions to locations in the store.
• Research items in the catalog and coordinate with purchasing to secure items.
• Load purchases by hand or forklift to register or customer vehicle.
• Display merchandise and suggest items meeting customer needs and emphasize features.
• Prepare sales tickets and write up special orders; follow through on orders.
• Maintain neat, labeled shelves and manage inventory in the department.
• Assist Shipping/Receiving with bulk items using a forklift when needed.
• Train and assist new employees in the department.
