Job summary

Mentoring Alliance seeks a Part Time Daycare Worker to lead elementary students in after-school enrichment activities. This non-exempt, part-time role averages 17-20 hours per week, with duties centered on youth development in a faith-based program.

The ideal candidate is 17+, values excellence and service, can obtain CPR/First Aid, and is ready to work Mon-Fri 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. in the community setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age; High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred and some post-secondary training highly preferred
• Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
• Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
• Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
• Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
• Valid driver’s license or Valid ID
• Legally allowed to work in the United States
• Have dependable transportation
• Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued

Responsibilities

• Lead elementary students in enrichment activities after school
• Ensure safety and supervision of children during program hours
• Follow the program schedule Monday–Friday 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. within the school calendar year
