Job summary

Mentoring Alliance seeks a Part Time Youth Mentor to lead elementary students in enrichment activities after school. This ministry-minded role focuses on youth development, modeling faith-based values, and providing a safe, engaging environment.

Work hours are about 17–20 per week, Monday–Friday 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; CPR/First Aid certification is required; background check is mandatory. Spanish-speaking skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith.
• Must be at least 17 years of age; High School Diploma or GED preferred and some post-secondary training highly preferred.
• Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children.
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred.
• Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
• Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory).
• Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check.
• Valid driver’s license or Valid ID.
• Legally allowed to work in the United States.
• Have dependable transportation.
• Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued.
