Job summary

Think Together is seeking a Part-Time Substitute Program Leader to support students with homework help, enrichment activities, and physical activity using provided curricula. The role requires a calm, patient leader who can establish authority and foster a nurturing environment across multiple sites in Morongo USD.

The position emphasizes timely arrival, consistent attendance, and collaboration with site staff to ensure student safety and positive behavior.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children.
• Proof of graduation from High School or GED.
• Availability: at least 3 days a week (Mon-Fri).
• Ability to speak and write standard English.

Responsibilities

• Provide homework assistance, academic enrichment and physical activity using program materials.
• Create an engaging environment that fosters belonging for students.
• Support students in making positive behavior choices and enforce discipline when needed.
• Engage children by following and helping with lesson plans.
• Ensure student safety when setting up and maintaining sites.
• Promote positive interactions between volunteers and students per safety guidelines.
• Take attendance/ sign-in-out, maintain student safety and site order.
• Identify student needs and communicate with Site Coordinator, teachers, parents and volunteers.
• Commit to a full-year program and be punctual, daily, and accurate with time cards.
• Participate in staff development activities.
