Job summary

Innovation Learning is seeking a Head Coach for an after-school program site in the Atlanta area. You will lead daily operations, supervise staff, and deliver enrichment, academic support, and character-building activities for students.

The role emphasizes safety, relationship-building with families and school partners, and program compliance. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are required, with CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 18 years old or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in education, childcare, youth development, recreation, or a related field.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead staff while actively engaging with children.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
• Willing to undergo and pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily program operations and ensure a positive experience for students.
• Facilitate engaging enrichment, academic support, recreation, and character-building activities.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming program environment.
• Manage student attendance, transitions, and dismissal procedures.
• Supervise and support site staff.
• Provide coaching, training, and ongoing feedback to team members.
• Lead staff meetings and promote a positive team culture.
• Build strong relationships with students, families, and school personnel.
• Communicate program updates, successes, and student needs.
• Represent the organization professionally within the school community.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate program records and documentation.
• Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and behavioral concerns.
