Job summary

LaAmistad is seeking a Site Director for the 2026–2027 school year to lead afterschool sites across Metro Atlanta. This part-time, temporary role focuses on creating a safe, engaging learning environment for K–5 students, guiding literacy and math instruction and social-emotional development.

You will collaborate with families, schools, and staff to tailor support, supervise volunteers and tutors, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience with K–5 students.
• First Aid/CPR certification (preferred).
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead a classroom independently.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move between classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the afterschool site.
• Oversee literacy, math, and SEL activities.
• Collaborate with Academic Director to plan and adapt activities.
• Monitor student progress and report outcomes.
• Communicate with families, schools, and volunteers.
• Train and supervise volunteers and staff.
• Maintain site safety and emergency protocols.
• Manage site-level administrative tasks.
