Job summary

Pace Academy is an independent college preparatory school in Atlanta, recruiting a part-time Auxiliary Programs After-School Associate for Knight Crew and Late Knight. The role runs 1:30–6 p.m. for Lower School and 3:30–6 p.m.

for Middle School, Monday through Friday during the school year. Ideal candidates bring humor, initiative, flexibility, patience, energy and creativity to engage elementary-age students.

Qualifications

• Two to four years related experience and/or training.
• Must be punctual, self-motivated, and committed to the work schedule.
• Basic knowledge of first aid required.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds required.
• Must be able to work on campus, in-person.
• Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week as directed by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Engages and leads children through the daily flow of activities which include homework, computer, crafts, playground and snack time.
• Organizes and participates in games, reading, craft projects and similar activities.
• Respectfully handles conflicts and discipline in line with Pace values.
• Helps children develop habits of caring for own clothing and picking up and putting away materials and books.
• Greets parents each afternoon and provides positive feedback.
• Monitors homework time.
• Assists in cleaning activity areas.
• Available to occasionally stay past 6 p.m.
• Other duties may be assigned
