Job summary

Innovation Learning Inc. is hiring a Resilience Coach for the 2026-2027 school year at Mt. Mansfield School District sites in Huntington and Bolton (via Brewster Pierce Memorial School and Smilie Memorial School). The role runs Monday to Friday, 2 PM–6 PM, with full duration of the shift and is paid at $32/hour.

The position focuses on mentorship, enrichment, recreation, and academic support to help students build confidence and life skills in a safe, engaging environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
• State-specific Vermont qualifications for child care roles.

Location: School-Based Program Site - After School Programs located in Mt. Mansfield School District

Brewster Pierce Memorial School - Huntington, VT

Smilie Memorial School - Bolton, VT

Reports To: Head Coach/Site Leadership

Schedule: Part-Time (Before & After School Programs, School Breaks, and Summer Programs)

Monday-Friday: 2PM-6PM

We are looking for candidates who are available to work all five days of the week for the full duration of the shift. We cannot accommodate partial shifts.

Pay: $32/hour

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Student Engagement & Support

• Follow all company policies, licensing requirements, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for youth development.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.

State Qualifications:

Candidates must be 20 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet one of the following requirements:

• Hold a Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level 3 Certificate
• An Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development, Elementary Education, or Child and Family Services AND 1 year of experience working with groups of kids in 3rd grade or under
• A certificate of completion from the Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program
• A Child Care Certificate from the Community College of Vermont AND 1 year of experience working with groups of kids in 3rd grade or under
• Successful completion of at least 21 college credits with an early childhood or school aged focus AND 1 year of experience working with groups of kids in 3rd grade or under

Physical Requirements

• Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout program hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
