Right At School is seeking a Program Manager to lead a team and oversee daily operations for after-school programs in Farmington, IL. You will coach staff, ensure safety and licensing compliance, and build strong relationships with families and school partners while guiding enriching activities for children after school hours.

The role emphasizes leadership development and hands-on operations experience in an education setting, with hours 2:30 pm–6:00 pm, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working with children is required.
• Coursework or training in child development is preferred.
• Excellent oral, written, and visual communication skills are essential.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace or willingness to learn is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of Educators with day-to-day guidance.
• Keep site documentation, licensing standards, and safety protocols up to date and compliant.
• Oversee daily check-in/out procedures with accurate attendance records.
• Communicate with families, school partners, and Area Manager during program hours.
• Plan and oversee daily enrichment activities delivered by the team.
• Address and resolve issues among staff, children, and families.
• Monitor program safety and address hazards; maintain documentation.

Position Details

Pay Rate: $20.00-$25.00 per hour (based on education & experience)

Program Hours: Monday - Friday, 2:30 pm-6:00 pm

Location: Farmington, IL

What You'll Do

• Lead and support a team of Educators, providing coaching, feedback, and day-to-day guidance


• Keep site documentation, licensing standards, and safety and attendance protocols up to date and compliant with state and company standards


• Oversee daily check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accurate \"name to face\" attendance records


• Communicate regularly with families, school partners, and your Area Manager, responding promptly to emails, calls, and inquiries during program hours


• Plan and oversee daily enrichment curriculum, movement, team games, and independent activity stations delivered by your team


• Address and resolve day-to-day issues or conflicts among staff, students, or families


• Monitor the program environment for safety, addressing hazards and ensuring safety protocols are followed


• Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns promptly and maintain accurate documentation

What We're Looking For

• Experience managing competing priorities while delivering quality service to staff, families, and school partners


• High school diploma or GED completed


• Experience working with children, including those with unique or special needs


• Coursework or training in child development or a related field (preferred)


• Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills with both adults and children


• Comfortable modeling professional standards around students, parents, staff, and community members


• Familiarity with Google Workspace or willingness to learn


• At least 18 years of age

Illinois State Requirements

• First Aid and hands-on CPR


• Cleared tuberculosis test


• Proof of MMR


• Food Handlers Card


• 18+ years of age


• Cleared background check with fingerprinting
