Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of Worcester is seeking a Social Recreation Coordinator to design and lead engaging recreational and educational programs for youth ages 8-18, focusing on confidence, life skills, and teamwork in a safe environment.

This part-time role (29 hours/week, afternoons into evenings) reports to the Director of Operations and involves supervising the Games Room, supporting volunteers, and collaborating with staff on cross-departmental activities; CORI/background checks required.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth program planning and supervision.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate recreational, educational, and enrichment activities for ages 8-18.
• Organize tournaments, game nights, and special events.
• Teach teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving through play.
• Supervise Games Room activities and ensure safety.
• Collaborate with staff and engage families and community partners.
