Job summary

Good Shepherd Services in New York, NY is seeking an Assistant Group Leader for the after-school enrichment and recreational program. This part-time role supports staff in delivering engaging activities and maintaining a safe, structured environment.

The ideal candidate is at least 18, reliable, and communicates well verbally and in writing. You will work with a dynamic team, help supervise youth, and assist with lesson activities during the 2pm–6pm schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the group leader with engaging activities (sports, recreation, educational, arts and crafts).
• Collect attendance and other data as necessary.
• Supervise participants throughout the afterschool program.
• Distribute snacks and assist with cleanup.
• Enforce rules of the program and uphold the afterschool model.
• Support activity instructors with lessons.
• Collaborate with the group leader to ensure a safe, supportive environment.
• Follow all GSS, DYCD and SACC regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
