Job summary

iCook/ iSTEAM After School in California is seeking part-time instructors to lead after-school cooking and STEAM classes for K-4 students. You will engage children with hands-on recipes, nutrition lessons, and cultural foods using provided lesson plans.

The role emphasizes enthusiasm, classroom management, reliability, and punctuality. Classes run 2–5 pm, Monday through Friday, with pay of $60 per class when paired with a co-instructor and $80 when teaching independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead after-school cooking/STEAM classes for elementary students (K-4).
• Teach provided lesson plans related to basics of nutrition and healthy eating.
• Introduce kids to basic cutting and measuring techniques, food safety, table manners, and curriculum concepts.
• Purchase groceries for each class (reimbursement provided separately).
