Job summary

YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne is seeking part-time childcare workers to support the Before and After School YMCA Program at Parkview YMCA in Fort Wayne, IN. Shifts run Monday through Friday, 2:00pm–6:00pm, in local elementary schools, helping create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Experience in supervision preferred.
• Experience in the supervision of multiple children.
• Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Responsibilities

• Connect with branch management, staff, students, and parents.
• Actively engage with and provide quality care for program participants to deliver a quality childcare experience.
• Lead: plan for and implement a set curriculum and schedule while serving as a liaison between participants and the Child Care Services Director.
