Job summary

St. Monica Catholic School on Mercer Island is seeking a part-time After-School-Care Director for the 2026-2027 school year. The role runs after-school hours 3pm-6pm, Monday through Friday (Wednesdays 2:00-6:00), with overall hours typically 1:30-6:30 pm.

The director will lead after-school staff and build positive relationships with families, teachers and students. Ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience with PreK–8 students and some supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with students Pre-K through 8th grade.
• Some supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Ability to plan after-school activities and programming.
• Strong communication with families, teachers and students.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise after-school care staff
• Build positive relationships with families, teachers, and students
• Manage enrollment of the after-school care program (3pm-6:00 pm, Mon-Fri; Wed 2:00-6:00)
• Plan activities and programming for after-school care
• Manage billing for the after-school care program
• Participate in school-wide recruitment efforts such as open house, marketing, etc.
