Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or related field preferred.
• Experience working in a licensed childcare or school-age program setting.
• Meets or is willing to complete all DCYF requirements for School-Age Program Directors, including: STARS 30-Hour Basic Training, Washington State background check, CPR/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogen and HIV/AIDS training, Food Handler’s Permit, DCYF MERIT registration.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Commitment to the Catholic mission and values of Saint Patrick Catholic School.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and oversee a safe before- and after-school care program for PreK–8.
• Ensure DCYF licensing compliance, safety protocols, and staffing requirements.
• Train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate extended care staff and volunteers.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about activities, policies, and schedules.
• Coordinate with school leadership to align with schedules and events.
• Plan full-day programming during non-school days or early-release days.
