Shrewsbury Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator for the Extended Day Program at Floral Street School in Shrewsbury, MA. The role supports planning, supervision, and parent communication for 2026-2027.

Ideal candidates are committed to equity and access for all learners and can work hours 2:00pm-6:00pm, with 7:00am-9:00am optional. The position is part-time with eligibility to work up to 40 hours when combined with other roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, recreation or related field is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills.
• 3+ years experience with children ages 5–12 in school or recreational setting.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate activities and behavior management.
• Flexible in a changing environment.
• Demonstrates Shrewsbury Public Schools values.

Responsibilities

• Interact with students in a nurturing, supportive manner.
• Provide structure and clear expectations for student behavior.
• Assist Site Coordinator with curriculum and activity planning.
• Plan special events, field trips, and parent communication.
• Manage staff schedules and purchasing supplies.
• Maintain student records and complete administrative paperwork.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development.
