Job summary

Walpole Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator for the Extended Day program (2:30 to 6:00 pm) at Old Post Road Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. Ideal candidates are responsible, energetic, and committed to supporting students in a caring educational setting.

The role requires CPR/First Aid current certification, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to participate in activities and supervise children with a 13:1 student-to-adult ratio.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • CPR and First Aid certificates must be current.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and interact with parents at arrival and departure times.
  • Ensure the welfare, health, and safety of each child.
  • Plan crafts or activities with the Site Coordinator.
  • Relay information or requests from families to the Site Coordinator.
  • Help clean room areas and return materials to their place.
  • Engage in physical activities with children within your abilities.
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings and professional development.
  • Monitor children at all times on playgrounds and during activities.
  • Ensure children are released only to approved individuals.
  • Provide opportunities for games and crafts from Extended Day resources.
  • Inform Site Coordinator of breaks, consequences, or conflicts between students.
  • Plan and execute assigned activities.
  • Assist in managing and developing staff.
  • Act as Site Coordinator in the Coordinator's absence.
