Job summary

New York Edge is seeking a part-time After School Academic Enrichment Coach for Far Rockaway, Queens, NY. You will help supervise children, lead learning activities, and support safety during after-school programming in NYC public schools.

Responsibilities include homework help, guiding arts, STEM, sports and wellness activities, and communicating with parents. This in-person role requires availability Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
• Experience working with children strongly preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to ensure health, safety, and well-being of participants.
• Engage students in structured activities, including arts, STEM, and literacy.
• Assist with homework and support learning opportunities.
• Help plan field trips and culminating events with staff.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and age-appropriate learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about child progress.
